Employment: JSTN

JSTN (Job Search Television Network) is a cable television channel in the Chicago area that takes a novel approach to job postings- each listing features a 60-second “Job Report” video sharing the inside story about the company and position.

The network wanted to find a way to give viewers instant access to a listing, even if they weren’t near a computer.  So JSTN used Gumiyo’s text-to-mobile solution, making each television listing clickable, and unlimited information on the advertisement a text message away.

Gumiyo set up an automatic daily feed that created a mobile JSTN listing for each position.  Specific Go Codes allowed viewers to send a text message from their phone and receive a link back that contained complete job posting information.
 
JSTN, which airs every day of the week in Chicago, was able to increase the number of candidates for most job positions allowing employers to have a better pool to choose from.  And because every text message sent to Gumiyo is trackable, JSTN was able to gauge which telecasts had the most viewers while also learning which ads were more enticing to their audience.

JSTN has experienced continued success since integrating the mobile platform into their offering.
