About Gumiyo Alerts

If you can't find something specific that you're looking for on Gumiyo, you can click the "Gumiyo Alert" button to have alert messages sent as a SMS text-message to your mobile phone or as an email. You can setup multiple Gumiyo Alerts for various search criteria.

If you click the Gumiyo Alert button, your Gumiyo Alert will match the "What " and "Where" criteria you entered. For instance, if you're looking for Ferrari in Los Angeles, simply enter these in the "What" and "Where" fields. You can then choose the Notify Me method to have your alerts sent in the following ways:

• Weekly Email Digest: All listings posted for the next 7 days that match your Gumiyo Alert criteria will be collected into a single email and sent to the email address that is entered in your Account Settings. The email will be sent 7 days from the date you create the Gumiyo Alert.


• Daily Email Digest: All listings posted each day that match your Gumiyo Alert criteria will be collected into a single email and sent to the email address that is entered in your Account Settings.


• Real-time Email: Each listing posted that matches your Gumiyo Alert criteria will be sent to you as a separate email in real-time.


• Real-time SMS Text-Message (1 per day ONLY): The first listing posted that matches your Gumiyo Alert criteria will be sent to your mobile phone as a SMS text-message. No additional alerts will be sent only for the relevant Gumiyo Alert. If you have other Alerts set up, then they will be sent to you according to the notification preference you defined for each.


• Real-time SMS Text-Message (3 per day): The first three listings posted that match your Gumiyo Alert criteria will be sent to your mobile phone as a SMS text-message. No additional alerts will be sent for only the relevant Gumiyo Alert. If you have other Alerts set up, then they will be sent to you according to the notification preference you defined for each.


• Real-time SMS Text-Message (10 per day): The first ten listings posted that match your Gumiyo Alert criteria will be sent to your mobile phone as a SMS text-message. No additional alerts will be sent for only the relevant Gumiyo Alert. If you have other Alerts set up, then they will be sent to you according to the notification preference you defined for each.

In addition, your alert method will default to whatever you set for your "Contact me by:" preference in your Account Settings.

Stopping and Managing Alerts
You can remove or modify alerts one by one from the Account Management screen OR you can stop ALL alerts by sending a text message from your phone with the word stop to post@gumiyo.com or to 48696.

You can also send an email to post@gumiyo.com with only the word stop in the subject line or body of the email. You do not need to have anything else in the body of the email.

Please note that your carrier may charge you for text-messages according to your data plan.
